The Spyderco Lil’ Temperance 3 Lightweight K390 is the third evolution of Spyderco’s iconic Temperance design — built for strength, control, and everyday carry convenience. Inspired by its fixed-blade predecessor, the Lil’ Temperance 3 retains the same ergonomic, flared handle shape for a secure grip while introducing the practicality of a folding design.
Its blade is crafted from Böhler K390 tool steel, renowned for extreme edge retention thanks to high carbon and vanadium content. While this steel excels at staying sharp through heavy use, it requires regular oiling to protect against corrosion, especially in humid or salty environments. The blade opens smoothly with Spyderco’s signature round thumb hole, making it quick and reliable to deploy.
The handle is made from FRN (fibreglass reinforced nylon) — a material that is both lightweight and incredibly strong. Aggressive texturing ensures a confident grip, even in challenging conditions, while the four-position pocket clip allows for fully customisable carry (tip-up/tip-down, left- or right-handed).
